Sweet & Sour Chicken
Sweet & Sour is one of the UK’s favourite Chinese dishes and a must from the take away. Why not try our succulent take on the classic?
Instructions
- Heat a wok and then add oil. Once it starts to smoke, add the onions, peppers, chicken, salt and pepper and stir together
- Keep the mix moving in the pan and after a couple of minutes add the red wine vinegar, sugar and garlic, stir together and bring to a simmer
- Add the pineapple, ginger and tomato puree and stir to combine
- Add the carrot and water chestnuts and simmer for 2-3 minutes
- Add the soy sauce and bring back to a simmer
- Serve with boiled rice

- Red and Yellow Pepper, roughly chopped
- Chicken Breast, diced
- Salt and Black Pepper
- Red Wine Vinegar
- White Sugar
- Garlic, pureed
- Fresh Pineapple, diced
- Fresh Ginger, finely chopped
- Tomato Puree
- Carrot, sliced
- Water Chestnuts
- Light Soy Sauce
