Chicken Tikka Masala
Rich, creamy Chicken Tikka Masala is a national favourite, but it doesn’t have to be off limits. Try our tasty take on the classic.
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Gently sweat the onions for 1 minute
- Add the cardamom pods, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garam masala and paprika. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring all the time
- Add the chicken, garlic, ginger and tomato puree and stir well to combine
- Add the chopped tomatoes, stir and bring to a simmer
- Add the cream or crème fraiche, stir together and cook for a further minute
- Add the yoghurt and stir to thicken
- Add the coriander and stir in
- Serve with basmati rice and top with a drizzle of yoghurt
