Chicken Tikka Masala

Rich, creamy Chicken Tikka Masala is a national favourite, but it doesn’t have to be off limits. Try our tasty take on the classic.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Gently sweat the onions for 1 minute
  2. Add the cardamom pods, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garam masala and paprika. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring all the time
  3. Add the chicken, garlic, ginger and tomato puree and stir well to combine
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, stir and bring to a simmer
  5. Add the cream or crème fraiche, stir together and cook for a further minute
  6. Add the yoghurt and stir to thicken
  7. Add the coriander and stir in
  8. Serve with basmati rice and top with a drizzle of yoghurt

  • Chicken Breast, diced and marinated in the spice mix
  • Garlic, finely chopped
  • Fresh Ginger, grated
  • Tomato Puree
  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Low Fat Cream or Crème Fraiche
  • Low Fat Plain Yoghurt
  • Chopped Coriander
